:::From what I can remember, Jask didn't betray the Doctor. He locked him and Saranna in the furnace to keep up the subterfuge. He and the Doctor had planned that, so the TARDIS could materialise around the Doctor and Saranna at the same time. Jask wanted to keep up appearances so the other Sontarans wouldn't turn on him, and so he could give his testimony.
