* “Day of the Daleks” - Bad, bad, bad. It’s got a good idea, but the execution is terrible. The Daleks sound awful, The fight scenes are badly filmed and the attack on the manor is Episode Four is pathetic. Aubrey Woods is good as the Controller, but other than that, the guest cast is pretty unmemorable. Bad, bad, bad.
* “The Curse of Peladon” - The Doctor plays at being Poirot. The dialogue in some places is really bad (see any exchange between Jo and King Peladon), but it’s all pretty average. The fight scene between the Doctor and Grun is good though.
* “The Sea Devils” - An excellent story. Pertwee, Manning and Delgado are excellent, and so are guest stars Edwin Richfield and Clive Morton. The action sequences are shot excellently and the whole thing has a nice filmic look.

* “The Mutants” - Not as bad as its reputation. Most of the guest cast is first rate (George Pravda, John Hollis, Christopher Coll, Geoffrey Palmer), but Garrick Hagon is annoying as the annoying Ky. Paul Whitsun-Jones hams it up as the Marshal and even Rick Jones isn’t that bad as Cotton. An interesting, if flawed, episode.
