* Ace is no longer traveling with the Doctor and hasn't been for some time.

* There are several references to 90s popular culture as well as being important to the story.

* The Doctor knows a man who had a ferret in his trousers.  

* The Doctor plays the spoons at the dinner reception and also does some balloon animals.  

* Rufus manages to follow Ace because the has [[Artron energy]] emanating off of her due to having travelled in the TARDIS.   

* Time Lords and Vampires are ancient enemies.   

* Rohesia and Raymond mention being acquainted with actor [[Christopher Lee]] and mock Ace's naive  assumptions about vampires. Christopher Lee famously played [[Count Dracula]] in the 1958 movie of the same name and its sequels.   

* The spare TARDIS key stored in the cubbyhole above the "P" on the "Police Public Call Box" sign is used.   

* When Mags tells Ace about her uncontrollable transformations, Ace says it's a bit like the wolf from the music video for the [[Michael Jackson]] song [[Thriller|''Thriller'']].

* Ace uses chemical compounds ''S''-allylcysteine and diallyl polysulfide (poly referring to di and tri-sulfide among others) from garlic to knock out the Janet.
