I’m not sure fourth wall stuff ''is'' “fair game now” - I believe it’s just not a definite indicator of invalidity. The first promo didn’t really break the fourth wall since it’s a diagetic announcement, while the second broke the fourth wall by having him address the audience without explanation, as well as counting down the days until the next episodes.
