There is solid physical textual evidence of their future/past relationship, and if they were to have a child, then it is likely she (XD) would have a combination of human and gallifreyan DNA. The picture of Amy and the little girl as a baby, I assume, it Stephen Moffat have a jolly good time messing with us Whovians.
In the past, any human-Time Lord hybrids have followed the species of their father (Leela and Andred had a Time Lord baby, Susan and David had a human baby, the Doctor is half-human on his mother's side, although that could just be Leela and Andred again...). So, if the Doctor and River had a daughter (and if Moffat is as much of a Doctor Who geek as RTD), she would presumably be able to regenerate. That said, I agree with you that it's probably not River's daughter.
| |||

While that would be one way of avoiding the 13-incarnations issue, it would make it pretty hard to continue the show, unless they can somehow keep Matt Smith alive, young-looking, and under contract for the next 200 years. There are all kinds of ways Moffat could get around the apparent death, and I'm sure Moffat has taken one of them. (See other threads here, and on just about every online forum, for different speculative ideas for how it will be explained away.) --[[Special:Contributions/99.33.26.0|99.33.26.0]] 08:42, May 9, 2011 (UTC)
|
