Squire Hutchinson was the owner of much of Little Hodcombe in the 17th century. In 1643, he burned the Queen of the May and forced Will Chandler, whom he pressed into service, to take part in a battle between the Cavaliers and the Roundheads.
Squire Hutchinson's descendant, Sir George Hutchinson, resembled him. When Will, having time travelled to 1984, saw Sir George, he was reminded of the squire (PROSE: The Awakening [+]Loading...["The Awakening (novelisation)"]) and pushed him into the Malus.
