Steam gun was a weapon, invented by Jacob Perkins. It could fire 1000 bearings per minute.
In 1834, Jacob Perkins presented his steam gun on an auction at the Royal Gallery of Practical Science, stating that nations shall cower in fear of the gun. Ada Lovelace shot the Spy Master using the steam gun, getting the opportunity to escape.
