Tai'an
Tai'an was a city in the Chinese province of Shangdong, near the border of Manchuria to the north. It sat by the mountain of T'ai Shan.
In 1872, Magnus Greel's 51st century time cabinet landed in the Jade Emperor Temple nearby on the mountain. Emperor Tongzhi's armies seized the cabinet.
In August 1937, Tai'an effectively marked the front lines of the early Pacific War when the Japanese Twelfth Army pushed south into China and faced the Kuomintang forces transported to the city by train.
