Barbara Wright novel reference

I removed the reference added to the lead that the film was based upon Barbara Wright's novel. First off, this is based upon information contained in the non-canonical, non-licensed work I Am the Doctor: The Unauthorised Diaries of a Timelord and therefore can't be used in such a fashion. Second, this is a Real World article (as are all articles based upon TV and film productions) so there was a mixing of universes. Thirdly, the John Peel book says only that Barbara supposedly wrote "Dr. Who and the Daleks" and says nothing about the second film. If a Big Finish audio or a licenced novel or a comic strip ever makes this claim, then it can be put back -- but in a Trivia section, not the factual section. 23skidoo 18:23, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

Surely, you could somehow fit it in the article and ensure that it's obviously a rumour or a possibility because as far as I and many other fans are concerned, it's important to know that this is not canon in the Whoniverse as some new Who fans may find this a bit confusing after having seen it. Title of film

This film has its title written several different ways:

• Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. (Film title sequence)

• Daleks — Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. (Trailer)

• Daleks Invasion Earth 2150AD (Region 4 DVD menu)

Continuity

The following was removed since this story is non DWU:

• Some of the Dalek colours are seen repeated in TV: Day of the Daleks (there's a gold one in charge), and also PROSE: War of the Daleks (gives a run down of what all colour Daleks do).
• The Daleks count in units called Rels, this would be used again in TV: Doomsday, Daleks in Manhattan and Journey's End.
• A Red Dalek appears in TV: The Stolen Earth / Journey's End, and again in TV: Victory of the Daleks.

Note on dab term

It is not always strictly required for invalid stories to be given a dab term. However, as discussed at Talk:Dr. Who and the Daleks (theatrical film), a dab term was necessary for that movie, and it would be simply ungainly not to do the same for this one — and that's without factoring in the very good chance that we'll be taking a second look at these two movies' validity once the Forums reopen.

Additionally, an in-universe counterpart of the film does exist in valid sources, although not with quite the same title as its real-world counterpart; given that in such cases the undabbed form can usually be assumed to be the in-universe one, it could cause some reader confusion for both to remain undabbed.
