Do the publicity shots used within this article look a little out of place, shouldn't they be from within the story? --Tangerineduel 13:18, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Since the articles are written from an in-universe perspective, then yeah, probably. But they are nice pictures and I would hate to remove them before we have something to go in their place. Maybe this would be a good place to start the gallery that Stardizzy2 mentioned in the Removal of multiple images forum thread. I just found especially the one with Baker with an arm around Sutton and Fielding looking a the camera a little...odd. That and the Leisure Hive one just feel a little too posed.

As for adding a Gallery link up there...I haven't seen it implemented on any other wikis, the article / discussion layout is pretty much the same across the wikis and wikipedia. (I think we should put that in the impossible or impossibly hard category). --Tangerineduel 18:05, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Longest living?

While Tom Baker was the longest serving actor to play the Doctor, he isn't the longest living. In fact, this incarnation lasted a maximum of only 65 years, since he was 748 at regeneration from Pertwee, then his next regeneration to Davidson was at 813. This makes Hartnell's incarnation the longest living, since he was 450 when he regenerated.

It's likly that the first was the longest as there are indications that timelords very rarely die of natural causes, so very few die very often when they're on Gallifrey. Once he left and started traveling he got in trouble a lot of the time and this ofcourse led to him dieing more then he would have if he had never left.GrimmShadows 15:59, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

I don't think we should really take any references to the Doctor's age to be exact. With all the traveling he's done as well the fact that however old he is he's very old makes it likly that he really doesn't even know anymore. Everynow and then he may pick a number and follow it for a while but at some point he'll forget what age he was claiming and pick a new random number and start from there. The best indication we might have are the diaries he's pulled out from time to time, starting with the Five Hundred Year Diary, although he started that before he left which might mean he was already around 500 when he left or it might just mean it was designed to hold 500 years worth of entries. I think the most trustworthy is the one in Time and the Rani, because it was meant to be exact. This was the exact age of the Doctor and the Rani. That hole "900" thing always sounded a bit rounded... OS25 (talk to me, baby.) 03:40, February 28, 2012 (UTC)

Habits and Quirks
