Talk:Genesis of the Daleks (TV story)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Do anyone know what those with the gasmasks are?? (in this trailer you will see them [1] ).

Thal soldiers who don't want to die from poison gas, presumably. -<Azes13 20:22, 20 February 2008 (UTC)>-

Ok Then i know, thanks.

How can we be sure the Daleks are Davos's ultimate creation[[edit source]]

The Giant Growling Clams!!!! They could destroy the universe!

Doctor on a Mission[[edit source]]

"The Doctor has previously been sent on missions by the Time Lords in TV: Colony in Space, The Mutants, and several TV Comic stories. It is also implied he is again sent on a mission in TV: The Brain of Morbius, TV: Attack of the Cybermen, and WC: Scream of the Shalka."

Is "The Two Doctors" entitled to be added to this list?165.225.80.59talk to me 13:32, April 19, 2016 (UTC)

Dedicated Follower Of Fashion[[edit source]]

Between beaming out of The Sontaran Experiment, and landing on Skaro, Sarah has changed her orange wellies for a pair of dark red ankle length high heeled boots. As with her skirt at the end of The Sontaran Experiment, there's no indication where these came from. She's also got a pair of gloves from somewhere, although these could have been in her pockets. This may be a Production Error or a Story Note, depending on your point of view.165.225.80.225talk to me 11:49, April 6, 2018 (UTC)

The Measure Of A Kaled[[edit source]]

"This story marks the only on-screen appearance of Kaleds other than Davros."

This may depend on your point of view. There is a Kaled mutant in Destiny of the Daleks. Alternatively, in the same story, the Movellans identify Davros as a mutant. So if the Kaled mutant doesn't count, then maybe Davros doesn't either and you don't need the "other than Davros" qualifier.165.225.80.225talk to me 11:59, April 6, 2018 (UTC)

The Audio Version[[edit source]]

"Second Release: As a cassette as Genesis of the Daleks & Slipback, from the BBC Radio Collection; and as Genesis of the Daleks/Exploration Earth, also from the BBC Radio Collection."

The second release wasn't a straight port from the original masters, it had a few alterations in it. The cover, showing the dalek blasting away from its sucker arm, is a disaster of course.165.225.76.175talk to me 12:13, April 6, 2018 (UTC)

Davros with 2 hands (new production photos unearthed)[[edit source]]

May be of relevance/interest for this page. Some photos from the 1970s production have been unearthed, showing behind the scenes of Frontier in Space and Genesis of the Daleks. Michael Wisher is shown with both hands. Photos are in black and white. Posting here in case anybody can use them, or in case they may be useful for a potential gallery. (Also cross-posted to the Davros talk page too.) Fractal Doctor 11:19, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
