Timeline

Do we know that the future Eleventh Doctor is having his adventure after "The Wedding of River Song"? Because while I know it's not very clear, the Doctor knew from the beggining of his time with River he'd was going to take her to Darillium, and the Doctor thought he was going to die at Lake Silencio before he decided to fake his death. So I'd think he'd do Darillium before he went to die, during the farewell tour, or while Amy and Rory were asleep again. David Hockstein ^{talk to me} 17:32, February 11, 2012 (UTC)

I maintain that this (and also First Night) must take place after "The Doctor the Witch and the Wardrobe". It must be after "The Wedding..." because the Doctor is breaking River out of jail to go on dates with her, which he would not have done prior to learning who she is (his wife) and that she did not actually commit the crime for which she was incarcerated. However, it can't be between "The Wedding..." and "... Wardrobe", because First Night establishes that Amy & Rory are asleep on the TARDIS. Continuity

Should it be noted that in A good man goes to war, Rory says to River "There are two doctors?" to which she replies "That's a whole other night", or something along those lines?--Alpha Lycos ^{talk to me} 04:55, March 13, 2012 (UTC)

No. River's line you're thinking of is that two Doctors would be "a whole other kind of birthday". In other words, a fantasy. Not something she actually (necessarily) experienced. MrItty ^{talk to me} 22:33, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

I think that would still constitute continuity, though, with wording like Prior to actually experiencing these events, River Song had already considered what it might be like to have a date with two Doctors at once (TV: A Good Man Goes to War).
