Talk:Lee Clayton

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Wrong infoedit source

I think some of the information is wrong on this page.

"He had the identical training of the Gallifreyan Gat. At one point, he earned a service medal made of chronotelluric alloy for honour and courage."

Reviewing the episode, this conversation happens when the Juddon and Gat think he is the Doctor (he is stalling them for time) - they *then* scan him and realise they are wrong and he is killed as a result. 85.255.234.95talk to me 18:11, January 27, 2020 (UTC)

The badge is one thing. But the "identical training" line comes in when Lee does in fact try to use a trick that Gat recognises from her own training. The most sensible reading is thus that although the badge is the Ruth Doctor's, Gat, Lee and the Ruth Doctor all received the same (C.I.A.?) training. --Scrooge MacDuck 18:52, January 27, 2020 (UTC)

Companion?edit source

The way the heading is worded makes it sound as if Lee was a companion to the Doctor, in the literal definition. What I want to know is if we should indeed be taking this into account (add a "Companions of the Doctor" tag). WaltK 01:40, June 27, 2020 (UTC)

Gat calls him one, so yes. --Scrooge MacDuck 09:15, June 27, 2020 (UTC)

Name change?edit source

Is there a reason for the proposed name change? Is there someone else with the name? LauraBatham 10:19, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

There's a Lee Clayton in The Blood Furnace but this defintely isn't a controversial move. Primary topic status should at the very least be considered for a companion. Also, Fugitive is spelt wrong in the rename request so all the links that were pointing to this page are now linking to a page that will never exist. Borisashton 10:40, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Yes, I think Lee's companion status (arguably the only known 'proper' companion of the Fugitive Doctor!) grants him primary-topic. I doubt very many people will be looking for the Blood Furnace character's page, but if they do, this is nothing a you may template can't cure, and I've just implemented such templates.
Of course, a redirect from Lee Clayton (Fugitive of the Judoon) to this page should exist. Scrooge MacDuck 15:12, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
