Talk:Ms. Henderson
From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Rename tag[[edit source]]
If this is the only Henderson in the story, it should be renamed Henderson (story name). But on the actual story page, the only Henderson listed is Mr Henderson. Is this an error, or are there two Hendersons in the story? Shambala108 ☎ 16:31, November 13, 2019 (UTC)
- Mr. Henderson is the presumed villain in the story. Hearing the name makes Ryan remember that he had a Ms. Henderson as a maths teacher. WaltK ☎ 17:38, November 13, 2019 (UTC)
- That's a tougher one. Both need the honourific removed as per rule, but both are Henderson's from the same story and we can't have to identically named pages. --DCLM ☎ 17:43, November 13, 2019 (UTC)
- In that case, I suggest "Henderson (Holiday Special)" for Mr. Henderson, and "Henderson (maths teacher)" for Ms. Henderson. WaltK ☎ 17:45, November 13, 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, User:WaltK's comments in the section below this are correct. The new names should be Mr Henderson for the villain, and I don't know enough about British English to know whether the teacher should be Ms or Ms. (And of course if there are other Mr and/or Ms Hendersons we'll need a dab term by story.) - And there we go. I've removed the rename tag. Shambala108 ☎ 19:13, November 13, 2019 (UTC)

- British English uses Mr, Mrs and Ms, by the way. No full stops. -- Saxon (✉️) 19:26, November 13, 2019 (UTC)
To answer User:GusF's question, see Tardis:Honourifics#When honourifics are allowed . Shambala108 ☎ 02:36, January 8, 2020 (UTC)
No honourifics in titles[[edit source]]
But I’ve seen other articles here with honourifics in them. Mrs Martin and Mrs Browning, for two examples. WaltK ☎ 17:43, November 13, 2019 (UTC)
- You are correct, as I've addressed above. Shambala108 ☎ 19:03, November 13, 2019 (UTC)
