Is it me or does this planet bear a resemblance to the planet visited by Rose Tyler and the Tenth Doctor in Army of Ghosts? --DCLM ☎ 14:06, April 16, 2017 (UTC)
- It is just you. The lifeforms and even for the most part the land-formations are different. (JMC Red Dwarf ☎ 04:44, April 23, 2017 (UTC))
- Yeah, I thought that too Danniesen. Apart from the flying manatee things. But unfortunately, it remains speculation. TheFartyDoctor Talk 04:56, April 23, 2017 (UTC)
- That was shot in Southerndown Beach in southern Wales. This was CEMEX's Taffs Well quarry near Cardiff. I'd imagine many Welsh landscapes look very much alike; what you are seeing are land formations that location crew thought looked bizarre and alien enough for the scenes they wanted to film. If anything, this reminded me more of the Ood Sphere, minus snow and ice. And guess why? Turns out, it's the same quarry they filmed The Pilot in. ;)
