Infobox image - round two[[edit source]]
In the past, there was a (very) brief discussion about changing the infobox image for the Second Doctor, but a change was never made. I agree with User:OttselSpy25's argument that it's not the best image per policy, so I'm starting a new round of discussion.
I've found a few images that potentially could be used for the infobox, but I encourage anyone to try and find mere suitable ones as well. Out of these, my favorite is #4. It just encompasses Two's personality the best. OncomingStorm12th ☎ 16:12, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

- All valid choices. I've added a suggestion of my own, #6, from The Evil of the Daleks's iconic "I will not be your slave!" scene. Though he might be remembered as 'the Clown', I think the more worried look is actually closer to the usual tone of Troughton's Doctor in his own era. Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 16:29, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

- So it seems that, since 2021, nothing has changed here. That works out well, because I actually think I have a better crop of images to choose from. We've had higher quality scans of a few episodes that are more easily available and a change in our image policies, so it makes sense to start from scratch. Compare:

- If we're not going to use an image from The Three Doctors (a decision I myself am unsure about), I think #1 is very obviously the image we should use. Feel free to add other options or otherwise voice your opinion. NoNotTheMemes ☎ 06:46, 16 March 2023 (UTC)

- While I like your old suggestion (which is now #3), I feel that #1 better encompasses Troughton's performance and character. The face is not only more neutral, but it is still expressive -- it's got that mischevious quality. Likewise, it captures Troughton's ragged costume (which is a big part of that "cosmic hobo" moniker he is often described with). While I would find your proposal acceptable, I still prefer #1. 1 > 3 > 2 > Current. NoNotTheMemes ☎ 02:38, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

- I'm still not very happy with #4 in content — the grin simply seems a more superficial look at the character than the sterner looks — but notwithstanding my personal feelings there, it must also be said that it's noticeably lower-quality than #1 and #2. I would be willing to bow to consensus on #4 provided a higher-resolution version is found, but of the current candidates, I think #1 (which notably also has him smiling, albeit less broadly) is the more justifiable pick.
- In the interest of quickly rotating Doctor images to help differentiate ourselves from our former self, I will be implementing #1 for the time being. However, if a higher-resolution version of #4 is found, please post it here and we will pivot to that one unless the vote turns otherwise.
