Talk:Torchwood Institute

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

wasn't the "unnamed weapon" from the christmas invasion the Jafhaa Sun Glider seen prominently in the torchwood hangar?

A Jathaa sunglider. Yes, it was, and it's mentioned on plenty of other pages, but this one in particular needs a real update. ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 14:48, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Are you sure that the weapon came from the sunglider. I thought that they were saying that they used the same weapon to shoot down the sunglider.

Torchwood 1918[[edit source]]

I have added the names of the 1918 team from "To the Last Man" and the Torchwood website, if thats OK.

Mickey Smith and Martha Jones[[edit source]]

Let's keep the speculation out of it. One line of throwaway dialogue at the end of Journey's End does not mean either character was hired permanently. Let's wait for a future TV series or novel before we jump to conclusions. We already know Martha won't be back anytime soon because the actress playing her is now on ITV starring in Law & Order: London. And there's been no report that Noel Clarke is appearing in Series 3, either. I've removed Mickey from the staff list, and corrected Martha's entry accordingly. 23skidoo 15:17, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Cleanup[[edit source]]

I think this page should have a Cleanup template on it. A lot of the sentences do not make sense and there is incorrect spelling and grammar. I'm A Hydroponic Tomato! Bigredrabbit (talk to me) 08:59, January 1, 2010 (UTC)

Dating issues[[edit source]]

Looks like we have a dating inconsistency here. See: Forum:Battle of Canary Wharf/Torchwood series 1 dating. Ausir(talk) <staff/> 11:21, July 9, 2011 (UTC)

"The Boss"[[edit source]]

I tried, but failed to find which part of the Torchwood website or its archived versions "the Boss" comes from. Anyone who can find it, feel free to add it to the behind the scenes section. -- Tybort (talk page) 18:48, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

"The Boss" ran the overall Torchwood in the mid-20th century.

Five Torchwoods[[edit source]]

Aren't there five different Torchwoods? In The Christmas Invasion there are five different locations shooting at the Sycorax spaceship. --DCLM 18:11, July 14, 2014 (UTC)

The Thames and central London is clearly visible from this overhead shot of the five locations.
No? The weapon's locations are clearly coming from separate parts of central London, not across the country, and there's not really going to be "five different Torchwoods" in central London. Not to mention that when the Doctor is on the ground watching the beams firing upwards, they clearly come from a relatively nearby location on the ground. -- Tybort (talk page) 18:43, July 14, 2014 (UTC)

Okay, thanks. --DCLM 20:46, July 14, 2014 (UTC)

Bulleted lists[[edit source]]

I'm moving the bulleted lists here until someone can write them into sourced prose. Shambala108 01:39, November 22, 2015 (UTC)

Torchwood One
Torchwood Two
Torchwood Three
Surviving staff of Torchwood Three later represented just "Torchwood", no numerical designation.
Torchwood India
Parallel Torchwood on Pete's World

Question[[edit source]]

Did anyone notice Doctor Who is an anagram of Torchwood? --BlazePlayz 23:01, September 4, 2016 (UTC)

Already noted on this very article. Shambala108 23:07, September 4, 2016 (UTC)
