The Apothecary was a Time Lord of the Patrex Chapter and Keeper of Micallon. When a young Narvin left Micallon, she asked him if he actually wanted to make a change or if he just wanted to make a name for himself.
She knew that Narvin's regenerations had been stolen.
The Apothecary nursed Rayo and repaired Narvin's TARDIS when they visited her during the Time War. She and Rayo saved Narvin from the Hunter Dalek 4-3 using stasers from the old larders and offered to keep Rayo safe by employing him as her apprentice, slipping Micallon outside of spacetime to protect them from the war.
