The Giants

The Giants was a novel written by the amnesiac Time Lord Marnal during his time on Earth.
Like the rest of his work, it involved Gallifrey, which Marnal had forgotten was a real place. It described the Time Lords as "giants" who sought to use their strength to help others but instead caused great accidental destruction until all the others were destroyed.
It was published in The Strand Magazine alongside pictures of Holmes and Moriarty at Reichenbach Falls, (PROSE: The Gallifrey Chronicles [+]Loading...["The Gallifrey Chronicles (novel)"]) as described in The Final Problem by Arthur Conan Doyle, which was printed in the 25 December 1893 issue.
