The Lost Twelve Seconds was a documentary looking at the missing twelve seconds of the Doctor Who story The Time Meddler.

A small part of the fourth episode of the story, "Checkmate", is still missing — namely, from the scene where the Saxons, led by Wulnoth, surround and kill the Vikings, Ulf and Sven. This short item uses an off-air audio recording and an original script to place the missing twelve seconds in context.
