By 1978, Christchurch Press published a newspaper in New Zealand.

In 1978, an article was published about recent UFO sightings off New Zealand's coast, which included pictures of the Ninth Doctor. This article was later found by Dean Brown who believed the Doctor's father was actually in the pictures, and he wrote about this on the conspiracy website Doctor Who? in March 2005. (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man?)
