The Valiant Quest was the episode of Doctor Who Confidential broadcast in conjunction with Last of the Time Lords.

A condensed 5 minute version of this episode was made available to download in .mp4 format for seven days after broadcast, as part of a BBC trial of video podcasts or "vodcasts".[1] It was later uploaded to the BBC's YouTube channel. Both of these were cropped into 4:3 aspect ratio.

Aspects of production covered[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Filming of the opening' "I Can't Decide" scene, and the strenuous nature of it for John Simm.
  • The execution of the laser screwdriver sequences.
  • The CGI work of the small aged Doctor.
  • Wire work for Tennant filming the return of the Doctor to normal.

Additional topics covered[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • The Master's need to torture the Doctor and see him suffer, rather than kill him.
