The Tobago Times was a Tobagonian newspaper for which Gideon Lyme wrote. He attached clippings of his work to a job application which he sent to a liberal newspaper in London who, in turn, offered him a job.
The editor initially turned Lyme away when he arrived in London due to the colour of his skin, believing that he had been deceived and stating that the Tobago Times was "hardly the Morning Star" anyway. (AUDIO: Parasite [+]Loading...["Parasite (audio story)"])
