Trakenite horse
But we do know where it came from. So we're using that to title the page logically. If you know a better, more precise name, tell us.
On Traken, the native equivalent of a horse was, at least according to Viola, "sufficiently like a horse to be called a horse". They were sleek and sturdy, with a flowing mane with fine hair along each flank and tufts of hair at the shanks. They also had hooves and galloped like a horse.
A Trakenite horse was typically dressed with flourishes, with the mane and tail threaded with ribbons and bells, making a tambourine-like sound as they ran.
Viola and Jamie McCrimmon once rode to Drakendir from Caslandir on such horses. (PROSE: The Astronomer's Apprentice [+]Loading...["The Astronomer's Apprentice (short story)"])
