Travel-Mat was the company responsible for running T-Mat, the global transmat freight network upon which Earth had become critically dependent by the latter half of the 21st century. (TV: The Seeds of Death)

According to one account, when the transmat network was dismantled following its exploitation by Martian invaders, (TV: The Seeds of Death) the company was superseded by the Sol Transit System. (PROSE: Transit)

Later history[[edit] | [edit source]]

According to several accounts, however, Transit-Mat remained a "big name" for at least another thousand years.

T-Mat was bought out by Leap Corp in the 3070s, operating across the galaxy at least until 3125, when Leap Control was brought down by employee Vix Leeson, with help from the Ninth Doctor. (AUDIO: Below There)

Other accounts had the T-Mat system still running under the same name in 4000 (PROSE: Mission to the Unknown) and, later still, the 101st century. (PROSE: The Scarlet Empress, Femme Fatale)
