Twin Stars' Pass

Twin Stars' Pass was a House Xianthellipse experiment in which a black hole was plucked from the near future and placed into close orbit of itself in the present. Though the experimenters had hoped to make a zone of neutral gravity between the two black holes from whence material could be retrieved from the event horizon, they instead found themselves in a chaotic area of space-time and were destroyed after entering into a protracted firefight with themselves.

House Xianthellipse officially announced that the enemy had attacked the experiment, but the truth came out when one of the timeships involved was recovered, and the event gained notoreity as one of the Five Famous Space Battles. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
