War of the Daleks (game)
- You may be looking for the Eighth Doctor novel or the unproduced TV story.
War of the Daleks was a board game produced by Denys Fisher in 1975, released by Palitoy.[1] A televised advertisement was aired for the story, featuring an original voice-over in a Dalek voice, explaining the basic tenets of the plot.
The game was designed for 2-4 players, who were asked to play as nondescript humanoid fighters against the Dalek oppression, seeking to gain access to the Daleks' control centre and destroy it. It is non-linear, as any number of the players being exterminated on the way to the Control Centre was a recognised possibility of the game's story.
The props and illustrations featured several rare, and even unique, Dalek variants.
