Who's After Your Cash was a short epistolary story written by Rowan Atkinson to tie in with the release of the 1999 mini-episode The Curse of Fatal Death.

It featured Atkinson's Ninth Doctor, and was released in The Mirror Official Comic Relief Nosepaper, issued by The Mirror on March 12 1999, and constituted this Ninth Doctor's only official appearance other than The Curse of Fatal Death until his cameo in the BBC Eighth Doctor Adventures novel The Tomorrow Windows.

Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Ninth Doctor submits a rambling letter to a newspaper, beseeching its readers to consider helping to raise money for disadvantaged individuals in conjunction with the broadcast of a Comic Relief TV special.

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • This story was written to serve as a lead-in to TV: The Curse of Fatal Death, with a not-so-subtle implication that the TV special mentioned by the Doctor is The Curse of Fatal Death itself, and may technically have been the debut of Atkinson's Doctor — although only in a matter of hours within the same day.
  • The photo of the Doctor and Emma was taken by Mauro Carraro.
