On 10 April 1912, the RMS Titanic sailed on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England.

The Daniels family, following a warning delivered by a friend known only as the Doctor, cancelled their plans to travel on the ship. A photograph of the Daniels and the Doctor later came into Clive Finch's possession. (TV: Rose) The Ninth Doctor later remarked that he was on board an 'unsinkable' vessel, likely the Titanic, but it is not known if he was referring to the events captured in Clive's photograph, an incident involving the Seventh Doctor, or an event to which the Fourth Doctor made reference. (TV: The End of the World, PROSE: The Left-Handed Hummingbird, TV: Robot)

In 2003, Rebecca Whitaker died. (PROSE: Touched by an Angel)
