A Cold Snap was the final comic strip published in Doctor Who Adventures before the magazine's hiatus in 2017.
It was the first DWA comic since the July 2016 story Pirates of Vourakis to not be written by Andrew Cartmel or feature the companion Jata. Jata's absence in A Cold Snap is not brought up, leaving the Jata storyline unfinished.
