- Starting with part 4 of this story, each part is decreased from three pages to two.
- Gillian shoots the villain dead at the story's end. This unusually violent ending for a Doctor Who story marks one of the few times a companion is shown killing someone, particularly in a comic strip.
- From Issue 809, the comic strip's title changes back from Doctor Who and the Daleks, as it had been from Issue 788, to just Doctor Who.
