John Canning

John Canning was a TV Comic artist who worked on the Doctor Who comics through all four incarnations the comic covered. Canning also overlayed new artwork on reprints. The primary change to these older comics, usually those of Gerry Haylock, was that the Fourth Doctor's likeness replaced that of one of his previous incarnations. The first reprints of this sort were published in the Doctor Who Mighty Midget Comic and the Doctor Who Winter Special 1977.

Canning also worked on Star Trek and Charlie's Angels comics for the magazine.
