1997 PROSE: Business Unusual The Brigadier mentions the video game character Sonic the Hedgehog. The year is 1989. Sonic didn't make his debut until 1991.
2011 PROSE: Touched by an Angel The films Groundhog Day and Mrs Doubtfire were both released in 1994. The given release year of Mrs Doubtfire is technically half-correct, being released in the United Kingdom in early 94 (with its original American release being in late 93).
