The Sinking Ship was a Paris inn located on the Calais Road, where, late at night on 26 July 1794, Paul Barras met with Napoleon Bonaparte to discuss their rise to power after Robespierre's arrest. On that day, Ian Chesterton went undercover as the landlord, Jacques, while Barbara Wright posed as a serving woman and Jules Renan as a guest. (TV: "Prisoners of Conciergerie")
