- Assimilation² depicts Worf with the likeness of actor Michael Dorn, who originally portrayed him in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
- Owing to his role in the later seasons of Deep Space Nine, Worf was to return in the unproduced sequel to Assimilation², Domination, which would have seen him recognise the Eleventh Doctor.
