Zone X Daleks were encountered by the First Doctor and Susan Foreman when they were propelled by the Father of Time into the far future.
History
In Skaro's "unforeseeable future", two Daleks without sense globes, who instead possessed metallic spikes on their lower casings and on their dome sections, were guarding Zone X, where no slaves were allowed to wander. They threatened the First Doctor and Susan Foreman with extermination upon spotting them, believing that they were trespassing slaves.
They never got the chance to put their threats into practice, however, as a chasm opened up in the ground beneath them, swallowing them whole; a cataclysmic earthquake had started, the final result of the Daleks' own mistreatment of their home planet, which ended with the complete destruction of Skaro. (COMIC: The Test of Time)
Behind the scenes
These odd-looking future Daleks were designed for The Test of Time to make it clear that the glimpse Doctor and Susan get of the Daleks is of their far, far future, long before the period of Dalek history where they are soon to properly meet the Skarosian pepperpots in The Daleks.
