A dark Grey Dalek with yellow sense globes served as a leader to Silver Dalek drones in the Dalek Restoration Empire who recruited the Tenth Doctor into a war against the Hond under the command of the Emperor of the Restoration. These Daleks, to the Doctor's surprise, had no records of having fought in the Last Great Time War.
When the Hond approached Skaro, the Grey Dalek, at the insistence of the Dalek Prime Strategist, gave the Doctor full access to Daleks' weapon systems, allowing the Doctor to end their threat. With the alliance having served its purpose, the Grey Dalek ordered the Doctor exterminated, but he managed to escape with the aid of the Thirteenth Doctor. (COMIC: Defender of the Daleks)
