Main Street was a street in Dallas, Texas. It was part of the route that President John F. Kennedy's motorcade followed in the moments leading up to his assassination on 22 November 1963.
The motorcade came down Main Street towards Dealey Plaza, turning right into Houston Street past the Dallas County Criminal Courts Building. Spectators sitting on the front steps of the Texas School Book Depository were focused on the end of Main Street where the motorcade would come into view.
