Terrance Dicks (in-universe)
You may be looking for the real individual.

Terrance Dicks was an author.

He wrote one-hundred and fifty novelisations, and were once all owned by Paul Magrs.

One of these novelisations heavily contradicted another novelisation, "Doctor Who in an Exciting Adventure with the Daleks", at least by the Eighth Doctor's viewpoint. (PROSE: Bafflement and Devotion) After a Doctor Who fan managed to contact 1970s UNIT and discussed 2020 with the Third Doctor, Jo Grant and the Brigadier, Terrance Dicks, also on the UNIT line, complimented the Doctor, Jo and the Brigadier's wise words and then called for a round of tea. (WC: U.N.I.T. On Call)

There was once a "Terrance Dicks Library" located in St Luke's University. (COMICThe Lost Dimension)
