On 5 March 2005, Michael Finch (PROSE: Rose, Grounded) answered the door to speak to Rose Tyler. She asked to speak to Clive Finch, Michael's father, and he called for him, saying Rose was "one of [his] nutters". (TV: Rose) He had a brother named Ben. (PROSE: Rose)
Later, while the family was out shopping at the Queen's Arcade, he saw Autons kill his father in their invasion of Earth. (TV: Rose) Michael, Ben and Caroline then fled for their lives, only to be cornered by two armies of Autons. Seconds before they could be killed, the signal controlling them was disabled and the Autons collapsed into lifeless plastic, saving their lives. (PROSE: Rose)
