The Doctor - Jon Pertwee

  • The Doctor finds a part of keys to his TARDIS concealed in a shoe. He takes considerable persuasion to work for and with UNIT though at the end he accepts the post of UNIT's unpaid scientific advisor.

Liz Shaw - Caroline John

  • This is Liz Shaw's first appearance. She finds it difficult to accept that, as the Brigaider tells her, that aliens have invaded Earth and could invade again at any time.
