Rakie Ayola (born May 1968[1]) played the hostess in the Doctor Who television story Midnight.

She also voiced several characters for Big Finish Productions.

Outside of Doctor Who, she is perhaps best known for playing Kyla Tyson in Holby City. In 2017, Ayola took over as Hermione Granger in the West End production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

She was busy with Harry Potter around the time that The Eighth Doctor: Time War: Volume Two was recorded.

In 2021, Ayola won a BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Anthony.[2]
