Morian was the head of the Morian Syndicate and owner of a number of casinos. He was the lover of Faye Davis, but this was only because he had drugged her with pheromones synthesised from the Mayzerians, making Faye literally addicted to his presence.
Under Morian's influence, Faye used Darzil Carlisle's personal channel to contact him. He shot the Fifth Doctor and took him to his hideout when the Doctor tried to stop the Naxy games on Cray, which Morian used as a betting opportunity.
