13 Paternoster Row was the home of the Paternoster Gang: Vastra, Jenny Flint, and Strax. (PROSE: The Pest of Paternoster Row, COMIC: The Lost Dimension)

Features[[edit] | [edit source]]

The building had a living room, (PROSE: The Pest of Paternoster Row) a drawing room, (TV: A Good Man Goes to War) a laboratory, (COMIC: The Crystal Throne) a hot house conservatory, (TV: The Snowmen) a parlour (PROSE: The Giant's Heart) and several upstairs bedrooms. (PROSE: Devil in the Smoke) There was a water tank in the building's attic which supplied the house with fresh water. The water was used for cooking and bathing. (PROSE: The Terror of the Thames)

Vastra had Strax dig a basement beneath the house which she called her Siluretum. (AUDIO: Family Matters)

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

In 1886, after encountering Silurians on an island in the Pacific Ocean, the Ninth Doctor dropped off Vastra, Jenny, Rose Tyler, and some of the crew of the Mary Anning at 13 Paternoster Row. (COMIC: The Lost Dimension)

In 1888, the Doctor's TARDIS materialised in the drawing room, which Jenny informed Vastra of as she returned home after hunting down and devouring Jack the Ripper. The Eleventh Doctor had come to enlist the couple's aid at the Battle of Demons Run. (TV: A Good Man Goes to War)

In 1894, the Prime Minister came to Paternoster Row and tasked the gang with protecting Thaddeus Maine. (PROSE: The Singular Case of the Time Machine)

In 1897, Hilary Bantlewhite came to 13 Paternoster Row on behalf of Queen Victoria and requested the assistance of the gang with protecting the Giant's Heart. (PROSE: The Giant's Heart)

Also in 1897, Strax dumped two Esturians into the building's water tank, thinking it would make a good prison. The Esturians were boiled and used to make tea. (PROSE: The Terror of the Thames)
