The Great Silver Robbery! was a Thunderbirds comic printed in Lady Penelope in 1966.
The story was a direct continuation of plot threads started in its sister publication TV Century 21 by featuring Mr Steelman from the Doctor Who universe crossovers Mr. Steelman and The Return of Mr. Steelman. It also marked the reappearance of Lady Penelope's yacht FAB 2 which debuted in The Man from MI.5, the only episode of the television series to feature the Daleks.

- Lady Penelope has a flowerpot telephone in her garden.
- FAB One drives past a London Underground sign.
- Parker incapacitates Steelman's hypnosis robot by covering its eyes and preventing light from reaching the functioning cells.
- Steelman uses paper from the Law Stationers Company.
- There are hotels named Majestica in Istanbul, Casablanca, Cairo and Monte Carlo.
- Lady Penelope loans Legrane ten million francs after Steelman steals the casino's money by using a magnetic bias.
- Steelman orders Robot Seven to proceed with "Plan Crash-Dive", the destruction of his base with an aircraft, intending to cause the deaths of Lady Penelope and the restrained governess.
- Lady Penelope blinds a horde of Steelman's robots with soap.
- Parker retrieves Steelman from the ocean with a fishing rod and anonymously donates him to the police.
Story notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Like most of TV Century 21's comic stories from the same era, including those of The Daleks, this comic serial was not given a title in the pages of Lady Penelope during its original printing; the title instead comes from later reference sources.
Continuity[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The police believe Parker is the only one who could have stolen the two million pounds worth of silver due to his criminal past. (COMIC: Mr. Steelman, The Vanishing Ray)
- Lady Penelope reminds Parker of her old enemy Mr Steelman. He regrets that they have never met face-to-face. (COMIC: Mr. Steelman, The Return of Mr. Steelman)
- Lady Penelope and Parker visit the Monte Carlo casino in FAB 2. On a later visit, Parker lost the yacht while gambling. (TV: The Man from MI.5)
