Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
Some years after her time with the Doctor, Polly is out of a job. She has applied for the position of personal assistant to John Eliot Maurice, who works in the music business.
She sits in the waiting room before her interview, where a young girl is also waiting. When Maurice comes to get her, Polly can tell he is more interested in hiring the younger girl.
During the interview, Maurice asks Polly many difficult questions, but she is able to hold her own. At first it is apparent to her that he doesn't seriously consider her for the job, but by the end of the interview he is impressed enough to keep her in mind.

Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Polly says that Neil Armstrong must have found life difficult on Earth after being on the Moon.
