At Her Majesty's Pleasure was the second audio story in Among Us 2.
Publisher's summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
Yvonne Hartman is in a very special prison. And there's absolutely no way out of it. So why is she convinced she's escaped?
Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]
Andy returns to HMP Whitcastle and presents to the governor, Charlotte Baker, a voice message from Yvonne informing him that she will soon be escaping, but Charlotte believes it to be a hoax given that it would be impossible to record it and send it without being noticed. After being subject to a shower of intelligent electrolytes, Andy is permitted to speak with Yvonne from the other side of a glass barrier in an isolation unit which will be flooded with knockout gas if anything goes wrong. She avoids answering any questions, however, and instead brings up a meal that they once shared.
Charlotte calls Andy back to the prison to question Jennifer Asher, an informant who denies any knowledge of Yvonne's recording and claims that she would never help her on account of her having bitten her earlobe off. However, she has received a substantial amount of money through PrisonPay from somebody in Aberystwyth who has also sent small sums to Yvonne which seem to correlate to incidents in the prison cells including a brawl and somebody getting food poisoning. Tyler answers the telephone when Andy rings, leading him to suspect that Torchwood are trying to break Yvonne out. Charlotte, however, thinks that she wants to take over the prison.
Andy hands an inventory of Torchwood's alien artefacts to Williamson and the prison guards and they identify which could be used in a prison break, a list which includes Block Transfer Computation. He takes Yvonne out for a walk whilst her cell is searched, but nothing is found aside from a substance which he suspects is simply saliva. He passes out and, after dreaming about the dinner with Yvonne that she keeps bringing up, he accuses Charlotte's new recruit Tilly of poisoning him, a charge that she denies.
Asher is found to have a bomb inside of her body and Andy visits Yvonne to get her assistance, deducing that the bomb was placed inside of her using Block Transfer Computation. Yvonne admits it and explains that she also put something in Andy which allowed her to rewrite the privacy filter and weaken the glass barrier in the isolation unit, allowing her to smash it and remind Andy that she spiked him with hyper retcon before her imprisonment to implant the false memory of their meal. The knockout gas is released and the combination of retcon, Block Transfer Computation and airborne sedative puts Andy into a retcon hive where he decides to move on from Yvonne as was part of her plan. His conditioning is activated and he helps her escape.
The facility's power has been knocked out and the memories of those inside, aside from Yvonne, Charlotte and Tilly, a secret inspector sent by the Home Secretary, are scrambled. With everybody else having forgotten Yvonne's face, she and Charlotte lock Tilly up in her place so that she can escape and to prove a point to the Home Secretary, whom Charlotte has been offended by. Yvonne and Tyler, disguised as a paramedic, drop Andy off so that he can return to London and say goodbye for the meantime.
