The East End of London, also known as just the East End, was a district of London.

History

Early history

On 2 November, The Doctor's TARDIS materialised in what would one day be the East End, but at that time was unpopulated and located just outside of London. (PROSE: The Plotters)

19th century

In 1888, Jack the Ripper murdered prostitutes in the East End. (PROSE: Matrix)

20th century

In February 1909, Bernice Summerfield investigated a series of murders in the East End. (PROSE: Birthright)

In the 1940s, Jean and Phyllis were evacuated from the East End to Maiden's Point. (TV: The Curse of Fenric)

In 1952, the Third Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith visited the East End. (PROSE: Amorality Tale)

In October 1963, the First Doctor was almost run over by a motorbike driven by either a Mod or a Rocker in the East End. (AUDIO: Hunters of Earth)

21st century

Albion Hospital was situated in the City of London, bordering the East End. (PROSE: Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia ^[+]Loading...["Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia (reference book)"])

In 2015 a Hyperion spacecraft landed in the East End as the Hyperion invasion of Earth began. This caused a fire which destroyed a large portion of the area. Firefighters including Sam were sent to tackle the blaze, mistakenly believing it to have been caused by a plane crash. (COMIC: The Hyperion Empire)

A stone house was built no later than in the 18th century in East End. At the beginning of the 21st century it belonged to Alice Parsons. In 2016, it became the focus of an investigation for the Coal Hill defenders. (PROSE: The Stone House)
