The Jathaa were an alien race who used a type of transport known as the Jathaa sunglider.
History
The Jathaa had interstellar travel capabilities by the late 20th century, and by the 1990s began to visit Earth.
In 1997, a Jathaa Sunglider was shot down by the Torchwood Institute over the North Sea and kept in Torchwood 1 (DW: Army of Ghosts). Its weapons system was back-engineered for use against alien invasions. (DW: 'The Christmas Invasion)
In 2008, an squad of at least three Jathaa ships were transported over the Taj Mahal by the Rift Manipulator. (TW: End of Days)
