The Revolution was a cafe that was near Piccadilly Circus. Its walls were painted red and it was decorated with a Cuban flag and posters of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro.
In 1967, famous anarchist Jean-Pierre Rex visited the cafe every Thursday. In June, the Eighth Doctor, Sam Jones, and Fitz Kreiner met up with Rex during one of his weekly visits. While the Doctor and Sam talked politics with Rex, Fitz met Madeline Burton, who was working as a waitress at the time. Eventually, the Doctor offended Rex by mentioning mind control and Rex stormed out of the cafe followed by the Doctor and Sam. Fitz stayed and walked with Maddie back to her flat.
